Hey, so I know there are a lot of people who are always going to hate the Catholic Church and that there are always going to be people who disagree with their teachings, but your recent post was tagged with a rather unnecessary comment. Also, it was only the English translation that was changed, and it was changed to be the same as every other language. When the Mass was first translated into English it was done quickly and also rather lazily. This is simply more accurate.

Yeah but the new Mass sounds less natural than the old Mass. “And also with your spirit”? Who thought that sounded normal? That being said, I didn’t realize it was changed to match everything else. But that being said, the new Mass is stilted and awkwardly worded.

And although the tags may have been “unnecessary”, that doesn’t mean they aren’t true. A lot of what makes me dislike the Catholic Church is their unwillingness to move forward (in fact, their desire to move backwards) in social policy. This change, to me, reflects that.
